The small state of Connecticut runs on natural gas & nuclear energy. In 2021, the Millstone nuclear power station generated a whopping 38% of the state’s electricity. The state is trying to diversify into renewables, but it doesn’t have the strongest wind resources. Instead, organizations like the Connecticut Green Bank are funneling money into solar energy solutions. The state government’s 2022 Clean & Renewable Energy Report contains more info on this trend.
